The ECB decided to raise their base rate to 4% yesterday against expectations. This should have caused the Euro to rally against the Pound. However it had the opposite effect. This is most likely because it's almost nailed on that the Bank of England will follow suit next Thursday.
Today sees a key speech by the ECB President, Christine Lagarde, later in the morning which could cause further ripples in the GBP/EUR rate.
There's the Michigan consumer sentiment index out in the States later that could affect Dollar rates, but other than that a quiet weekend ahead before Rightmove house prices in the UK in the early hours of Monday.
