Overnights price action was relatively subdued. No real moves in the markets. There was little news out yesterday or overnight too which would have contributed to this low volatility.
Eyes are eagerly on any further updates on the Omicron variant and the possible knock on effect to both international travel and Christmas. The note has certainly become more cautionary as works Christmas parties are starting to be cancelled in large numbers to protect employees and the public. Spain has also introduced firmer measures for anyone entering the country, so even a small escalation of the Omicron story could have a big knock on effect.
Other than that there is little to report at this stage. There are initial jobless claims out from the States today, but other than that there's no major, scheduled news.
