Today Sees A Raft Of Speeches - MI140524

Recently currency exchange rates have been moved by speeches from central banks.

Today could see a continuance of that with key speeches from the ECB and the FED.

The main speech will see the Dollar under the spotlight as the FED Chair, Jerome Powell, reports mid afternoon.

Other than that it's another relatively quiet day for scheduled news.

Business news centres on the UK unemployment rate which was reported as 4.3% at breakfast time this morning. This is a slight uptick from the previous report of 4.2%.

Interestingly the number of vacancies has also dropped slightly showing a relatively stalled job market.
